Vicki Shotbolt

Vicki has brought a claim against Valve which owns and operates the Steam gaming platform. She claims that Valve has abused its dominant position in the PC games market, in breach of competition law, by imposing “price parity obligations” on game developers, preventing customers from buying add-on content on other distribution platforms, and charging excessive and unfair commissions. She is seeking compensation for consumers who she believes to have paid too much for games as a result of Valve’s conduct.
